In February 2008 Refugee Week UK held a conference for those involved in promoting Refugee Week.
The day was attended by over 120 representatives of Refugee Community Organisations, Local Authorities, service providers, schools and individuals from across the UK.
The aim of the conference was to promote the sharing of ideas and good practice and to provide an opportunity for individuals and organisations from across the UK to network and create partnerships.
The day consisted of examples of good practice from Scotland, Norwich and London, a discussion on arts and refugees as well as workshops on that covered fundraising, education, working in partnership, representations of refugees, Small Actions and the ethics of working with refugees and asylum seekers in art events.
