Sir Georg Solti, KBE, was a world-renowned Hungarian-British orchestral and operatic conductor. During his lifetime he was awarded 31 Grammy Awards, more than any other recoding artist in history.
Solti’s career saw him as Musical Director at the Royal Opera House, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. His studio recordings are still praised for their musicianship and expert production values.
