Mika
When Mika was a year old his family was forced to leave war-torn Lebanon.
Mika was trained by a Russian opera professional. His first single "Relax, Take It Easy" was made Record of the Week by DJ Scott Mills and his second single "Grace Kelly" reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 2007.
Mika's début album “Life in Cartoon Motion” has brought comparison with artists such as Freddie Mercury, Scissor Sisters, Elton John, Prince, Robbie Williams and David Bowie. In 2007, Mika won three awards, the most of any artist, at the World Music Awards, the annual ceremony at which awards are given for the highest selling recording artists internationally.
To date he is the first artist to have won three World Music Awards in just one year.
