Today I read the Guardian's article written by the Red Cross on destitution and asylum seekers, and learned that asylum seekers live on £35 a week, or on nothing if their claims have failed, that even if they have children a lot of them sleep on the streets, that they get so unhappy they want to die, and that they suffer a number of health problems due to having such sad and hard lives.

In maths we looked at statistics.
We worked out the number percentage of asylum seekers/refugees as a total of uk migration. We worked out the projected number of new refugees by 2031. We used some data from the Daily Telegraph website - quoting government statistics.
Please find attached a ciopy of a child's work from the maths lesson.

Very inspiring staff. Most refugees have a different work experience and expertise. Countries who embrace refugees benefit from having in their workforce people with a range of new skills, view points and experiences.
