16. Share your sweets

It's a well-known fact that sweets make life sweeter.

Share your sweets

That's why they are called sweets. If they made life bitter, they would be called bitters.

But the good thing about them is that if your life is bitter, sweets make it sweet, at least for a bit. So if you are in a sharing mood and with some extra sweets at hand, we think it might be a good idea to … well, share. And who knows, you might make a new friend, which will probably make your life even sweeter.

If you find yourself smiling at the thought, there are all sorts of things you might want to share – like a penny, hat, last season's jeans, the spare bike that’s been collecting spider webs in the shed…?

We invited local children to learn to make flapjacks. They brought their own cup of coffee and learned a recipe they didn't know before. We got to know each other a little better and learn how to apologise and tolerate our differences.
